Love makeovers! There is so much character in old wonderfully made furniture that its sad to getting rid of them. If you have recently purchased or rescued a bland, boring or dresser in distressed state, I sure hope you find inspiration in the ideas presented in this post.

Get your creativity flowing and transform your furniture, give them a new lease of life and bask in the satisfaction of beautiful transformation! There are so many ways/ideas to add newness and color. Think of bright paints, vintage atlas, music books or even wall papers. Stenciling and decals are always an option too!

Easter is almost here! I have been away, but am back with some interesting ideas for Easter craft!! Dyeing Easter eggs is a beautiful tradition. There are some really cool twists and variations for those looking for new ways to decorate and delight little ones :)

Use a whole variety of things and easy techniques to get these gorgeous colorful eggs ready in no time! Great way to spend evenings and building a family tradition. Ingenious little tips and tricks to create lovely floral designs sans dyeing and absolutely great for different levels of crafting.

Pretty pastel floral designs in glitter!! Use punched designs on ultra-thin double sided tape, peel carefully and dip/sprinkle glitter on them. The best part is how you can go over each pattern individually to create a really colorful design. Easy and quick!

Have you saved up an old magazine/calender with lovely details? Here is an easy way to display and wow everyone! Use dyed eggs or brown eggs, speckle them with some paint (try spraying with a toothbrush with thinned paint) and glue cutouts or stickers on them! Makes for a wonderful centerpiece too :)

Christmas craft ideas once again!! Holiday cards are an integral part of Christmas. It feels so special to receive a handmade card, made with effort, time and creativity. Its a gift in itself, its exclusive and anyone would appreciate and be flattered to have received such a unique card.

Making Christmas cards might sound like a lot of work but it can be very simple and stylish and be made with little supplies and time. The ideas I have have some step by step tutorial for some fun pop-up cards and lovely illustrations for cards in 3D :-D

3D Card- Christmas Baubles on a string!!

Simple and stylish! Great for all ages, Cut 3 circles (for each bauble) with pinking shears and fold in half. Glue the half circles as shown. Right half of 1st, spine of 2nd, and left half of 3rd. That is it!! Use colorful paper or embellishments to jazz it up further!!

Pop-Up Card - Christmas Present!

Step by step tutorial for Christmas present Pop up card. It would be so cute to insert a Gift card between the two layers! You could modify the same to make a 3-tiered Birthday cake too, stick some candles for a perfect Birthday Card! :-)

Cut the solid lines, fold along the dotted lines.

Fold the card cut-outs horizontally, away from you.

Pinch the cut-outs vertically towards you carefully.

Once it pops out just right, decorate with embellishments!

This is yet another unique card. I love the Pine cone shape and the classic Christmas tree cut-out. Trace half of a Christmas tree like shown and use X-acto knife. Fold it over for the dimensional effect. A craft idea for those with steady hands maybe, beginners can try making simpler round Christmas ornaments.

My absolute favourite tip is to look into thrift stores and vintage stores to pick some unusual trinkets, trims, ribbons and baubles and design around it. Look for porcelain, Victorian, or Shiney Brite from Poland and Japan. Its eco-friendly and the money goes to a good cause too. Make someone's Christmas happy!
